Imitation is the Greatest Form of Flattery

Or so they say...

If it can happen to Beyonce and Rihanna, I'm sure it can happen to anybody - the "copycat."

I can honestly say that I was never aware enough to really catch it in videos or most advertisements. And then Saturday, that changed. While flipping through a magazine, I happened upon this advertisement from Tignanello:

I've never purchased one of their handbags, but I really liked where they were going with their visual. Polka dot sheath with a bright bag...that's me all day.

Fast forward literally 3 pages or so and I had an immense déjà vu moment:

There it was again...polka dot sheath with a bright bag. But this time it's for Rosetti handbags. I liked the ad just as much, but couldn't deny what seemed obvious. That of the two brands, somebody had...well...you know.

It looks like both bag brands paid the same creative director.

However, I will say it was a job well done, despite the lack of *cough* originality, I was drawn to both ads. They were memorable and left me a bit curious as to whether they had modernized their brands and could be worth checking out. And that's really what it's about, right?..

But on real, what I really wanted to know was where I could get those dresses!
